In The Year 2050

 

 

          Remote viewing is the ability to project one's consciousness to another place and time. Sound wacko? The US and soviet military and intelligence agencies used it to spy on each other during the cold war. It's a surprisingly easy skill to develop.

         I was listening to an interview with remote viewing researcher Stephen Schwartz as he detailed visions of the year 2050, I realized I had glimpsed images of the future too. It happened through brainstorming to create stories. I didn't give one storyline much thought until the interview and recognized the world I saw. In case you haven't noticed the world is rapidly changing.

         Climate change, or rather environmental collapse is here. I saw a world with fewer people living communally, breaking up asphalt parking lots to put in gardens. The air cleaner because of the lack of cars. I saw a world where plastic was gathered to convert back to petroleum on a small scale because industrial production was gone. I saw a vast migration from coastal areas because of rising sea levels, (long before there was discussion of it).

         Not as bleak as dystopian movies and books, but devoid of a lot of modern technology and more rural. Such change is inevitable given gross overpopulation, dwindling of exploited resources and the natural cycle of  life, death and rebirth. We are not the masters of Nature like the Cartesian fantasy but a part of it and we have forgotten that because of ego. Well here's Mother Earth bitch slapping us.

          I don't find this scenario alarming because I won't live to see it but I suggest the younger generation learn basic survival skills like how to find and build shelter, grow your own garden, be self reliant and interact form community with neighbors  because government will be next to useless.

         Humanity will survive as we have done from past calamities. We have been warned so prepare now before it's too late.
