I went shopping at Lowe's to scope out some
paint for the living room. I asked for a step stool to reach the top row of
paint swatches but was informed they could not provide one for liablity
reasons. Never mind they sell them here.
"Oh I see, it's fuck short people, whatever," I snorted and decide I am not getting anything there with only two choices of expensive paint. Jerry's has a better selection anyway and I can reach all the paint samples.
Disappointed, I head out to a sky filled with voluminous clouds. An older woman passing by winces at sunlight bursting out.
"It was snowing a minute ago and now this," she says with mild exasperation. The day of shifting decisions continues.
I haven't left the parking lot when it starts to hail so I stop at a MacDonald's for a snack. I am greeted by a sullen teenager with a nose ring like Ferdinad the bull who regards me with an impatient yet bored glaze as I take some time to settle on a small fries and coke.
"That will be $3.25." she informs me. I give her a five and a quarter thinking will make change easier. Not a chance. Instead she has to call her supervisor over to figure out the correct change. I am stunned at the level of incompetence, apparently they don't teach math in high school anymore. The super hands me the change.
I guess MacDonald's spent so much on remodeling the store they now have to resort to child labor. At least the fries are still good.
