I wake to find autumn has arrived.
The Sun yawns in a cooler light,
the air is crisp as an apple.
I hug the sweater closer,
and gaze on colors cleaned bright by recent rain.
Soon the leaves will fade to earthy tones,
before the trees fall asleep.
I grow drowsy and slow my pace
to join natures turn.
